ALERT: Children's costume sold in Ireland recalled due to major flammability risk

A popular accessories retailer has issued a recall of a children's costume hat due to a major safety concern.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Claire's is recalling their Claire's HW Witches Hat as it does not meet the flammability requirements of the Toy Safety Regulations.

If exposed to a naked flame, the product could be set aflame and cause potential burns.

There are approximately 242 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Customers should stop using the product (SKU number 88511, barcode is 5053264885116) and keep out of reach of children.

If you have purchased the above product, you should stop using it immediately and return it to your nearest Claire’s store for a full refund.
