'It's just insane' - Terrified goats found hiding in old farm yard rescued by animal welfare group

An animal welfare group has rescued two abandoned goats found hiding in an old farm yard in Co Meath.

A My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR) volunteer travelled to Slane to transport the goats - described as "terrified - to safety.

In a post detailing the rescue published on Facebook yesterday (February 6), an MLHR spokesperson stated: "It never stops. Tonight we drove to Slane after one of our good friends told us that these two poor little goats had been dumped. They are terrified, hiding in an old farm yard.

"Look at those little faces.

"It's just insane, animals have no value to some people, they forget that they have feelings and can feel terror and pain just like humans. These two little dotes are safe now and will join the MLHR family of goats as soon as they are vet checked and neutered."

The animal charity is seeking donations, stating they need the support "badly".

They stated: "Please donate, we just don't stop, we can't!"
