A driver who was disqualified and had a warrant for their arrest was detected by gardaí using their Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system.
The motorist came to the attention of Blanchardstown gardaí when the ANPR system flagged that the car was uninsured and untaxed.
"Blanchardstown Gardaí were on patrol near Finglas earlier when our number plate recognition system picked up this uninsured, untaxed car," said a Garda spokesperson.
"The driver was disqualified and also had a warrant out for his arrest.
"We will be bringing him to court later this afternoon."
