Firefighters are urging people to keep all doors closed at night to improve survival odds in the event of a fire.
Dublin Fire Brigade issued the warning on social media yesterday (May 7) as temperatures are set to rise coming into the summer months.
A spokesperson stated, "During the summer months, it can be tempting to leave doors open at night time. Don't put yourself at risk. Close all internal doors before going to bed."
It comes after firefighters attended a domestic fire in Kilbarrack recently, where closed doors delayed the spread of smoke and fire.
