Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of a collision on the M50, with motorists being warned to expect “severe” delays that will continue into later today.
The M50 northbound is currently fully closed between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Lucan due to the incident.
Diversions are in place and traffic disruptions on and around the M50 and connected roads are expected to continue into the afternoon. All lanes have been closed northbound at Junction 7 Lucan.
Dublin Airport has warned passengers of delays due to the closure. Gardaí have warned that diversions will continue into the afternoon.
Motorists have been advised to drive carefully and avoid the area if possible. Dublin Fire Brigade has said the incident is a "serious" road traffic collision.
Gardaí have said that no further information is available at this time.
