A wandering peacock ruffled some feathers earlier today after it was spotted by Gardaí in Offaly.
The colourful bird was found "in environs of Birr Town", local Gardaí said in a post on Facebook.
As of yet, none of the replies have so far solved the mystery of where the exotic bird came from.
Gardaí have said they are trying to find the owner of the large Birr bird.
Those in the Birr area with any information are asked to send queries and information to Birr Garda Station.
