The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has alerted the public across Ireland to a major recall from online retail giant SHEIN amid serious fears of electrocution and fires.
SHEIN is carrying out a recall of a Lighting Chain sold on SHEIN marketplace by the third-party seller Shenzhen Lisheng Weiye Technology Co., Ltd.

The product presents a risk of electric shock and fire. The product is not protected against moisture, despite being recommended for outdoor use. Consequently, water could penetrate the product and cause an electric shock. The product can also break in case of an impact leading to overheating and fire.
The model number is EK-04. The product reference is sr25041688217812112.
There are approximately 47 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

The product presents a risk of electric shock. The earth terminal is not protected against accidental loosening, which may lead to electric shock to the user in the event of an electrical fault.
