New walkway launched in Kilkenny

A new walking trail in the centre of Freshford in County Kilkenny has been revealed.

The Architectural Conservation Office of Kilkenny County Council in collaboration with the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage and the local community in Freshford officially launched the walkway on Wednesday.

'Wonder Wander Freshford' was officially launched Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr Michael McCarthy.

The trail is self-guided, with an interactive map providing user-friendly information on selected sites of interest, and an accompanying 'Scavenger Hunt' provides architectural details to keep an eye out for.
