Current wind turbine blade designs cannot be melted or re-moulded.
In response to the posting of a planning notice for the six-turbine Seskin wind farm on the Kilkenny-Laois border in the Kilkenny People on Wednesday, a public meeting will be held to discuss the proposal.
The meeting, organised by the No to Seskin Windfarm Group, will bring together locals who have concerns about potential environmental, health and visual impact risks posed by the development.
The planning notice by Seskin Renewable Energy Limited outlines the plans for the construction of the six turbines with a tip height of 175 metres, along with a substation and a 100 metre meteorological mast. The company says the farm will power 36,000 homes.

Kilkenny County Council joined several other local authorities by voting in favour of suggesting that major onshore windfarm developments be paused until updated guidelines can be passed at national level.
The current legislation has been in place since 2006 and many communities believe that the long-awaited Wind Energy Development Guidelines need to be published before new projects can continue.
Seskin Renewable Energy Ltd are seeking a ten year planning permission and a 35 year operational life from the date of commissioning.
