Resurfacing works will commence on the Old Road Moneenroe, this Thursday (July 17) following a significant investment of nearly €250,000.
Kilkenny County Council will be undertaking road improvement works until Tuesday, July 22 from 7am to 7pm (weekdays only).
To facilitate the works, a road closure will be implemented with local access only where possible.

Access by vehicle to your property will be restricted on Monday and Tuesday as the paving of the new road surface takes place. Footpath access will be maintained during the works.
Kilkenny County Council request that during this period you refrain from parking on the road to enable the road works to take place.
Local councillor in the area, Cllr Maurice Shortall has welcomed the beginning of upgrade works, commenting, 'this stretch of road is an absolutely scandalous condition'.
