Kilkenny girls are really showing them how it's done in the equine world, as a second local lady has clocked up some amazing achievements at an international event.

11-year-old Aoife Brennan, from Ballyfoyle, competed at Northern Ireland festival 2023 where there were more than 2077 entries, including fellow Kilkenny horsewoman, 17-year-old Aisling Dwan.

Aoife came home to Kilkenny with amazing achievements winning many of her jumping and ridden classes on both her ponies Goldengrove Sunrise and Rohson Annwyl Eto.

Aoife scooped the Reserve Supreme Champion after Saturday evening's performance, where she was up against many adults on horses, which was an amazing achievement for Aoife. She also made it through to Sunday nights Mini Pony Supreme where she also won Reserve Supreme Champion!
