Lucy Coogan has been named on the final 12-person squad for Ireland U20 Women’s trip to FIBA European Championships in Romania next month.
Coogan really stepped up to the mark in recent times, putting in an impressive showing at the 2022 FIBA U18 Women’s European Championship.
She finished that tournament as Ireland’s second leading scorer (14.4ppg) behind Sarah Hickey (18.4ppg), and also chipped in with eight rebounds and two assists per game.
Ireland's national team is set to participate in the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship 'B' Division in 2023, where they find themselves placed in Group B alongside Romania, Greece, and Georgia.
The competition gets underway on July 28.
