Tee times and playing partners have been released for Offaly man, Shane Lowry and Down man, Rory Mcilroy for day two at The Masters around Augusta National.

The opening round at Augusta was delayed due to heavy rain causing some players, including Lowry, being unable to finish a full 18 before the sun set over the iconic golf course.

Following the late start Lowry only managed to complete 16 holes in his first round before the conditions were too dark to play. Meaning Lowry has to play an additional two holes in his second round along with the standard 18 he is due to play. Despite a late start and a rushed end, Lowry managed to put together a solid round scoring 2 birdies and 2 bogeys leaving him leaving par and in a good position to make a charge on day 2 with the weather conditions to be much improved making the conditions a bit more manageable for the Irishman.

Shane Lowry is out again on day 2 alongside 2-time PGA tour winner JT Poston and hotshot youngster Akshay Bhatia, the 22 year old coming off the back of a playoff win in the Valero Texas Open last week that got him to the Masters. This group will tee off at 14:12 Irish time.

Rory on the other hand managed to get his full regulation 18 holes in on day one and sits at a comfortable 1 under after a good round. He sits at T17 heading in the second round of the day.

Rory has a star studded playing group for day 2. Mcilroy is paired up with the man who pipped him for the green jacket at the Masters in 2022 and world number 1, Scottie Scheffler. Alongside the two serial winners is man looking for his first major win, Xander Schauffele.

This group will have all the eyes on them heading into the business end of the tournament and they tee off at 18:48, Irish time.
