'Great display' sees Kilkenny boxer win National Intermediate Championship title

A Kilkenny boxer is among 18 IABA 2025 National Intermediate champions crowned at the National Stadium, Dublin over the weekend.

Over 140 boxers entered the competition from clubs throughout the Irish Athletic Boxing Association, and in excess of 120 bouts were boxed over 5 days.

Emma Keating of Paulstown BC Kilkenny was the unanimous decision winner over Annie Hewitt from Wicklow’s Liberty BC.

Paulstown Boxing Club stated that "Emma controlled the contest throughout picking her scoring shots and setting the pace throughout the bout.

"A great display from one of our most senior boxers setting a great example for the kids coming through with her hard work and dedication over the last few months.

"Emma is adding this title to the Under 23 title she secured in the summer making her a two time champion in 2025! Well done Emma."
