Don't forget that this year's Arts Festival is well underway - Taoiseach Simon Harris was full of praise for the Marble City as he officially opened the 51st Kilkenny Arts Festival at Butler House, last Thursday evening. Speaking to the Kilkenny People the Taoiseach said that the Marble City is ‘one of the most beautiful parts of our country’.
In 2000 the Kilkenny Arts Festival manager was Maureen Kennelly and the programme included the premier of Brendan Kennelly’s ‘Judas’ starring actor Adrian Dunbar and readings by Pulitzer Prize Winner Richard Ford.
"All in all, the most impressive Kilkenny Arts Festival ever."
