Tar Isteach Housing, in collaboration with the Young Leaders group at the Fr McGrath Centre, held a special Tenant Engagement BBQ on Saturday.
The family-friendly event was free of charge and aimed to bring together tenants and the local community in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Good Shepherd Centre volunteers and staff joined forces with the Fr McGrath Centre for the ‘Chill and Grill’ event.

Stephen Murphy of St Canice’s Community Action and the Butts Young Leaders committee expressed their thanks to the volunteers, staff team and business sponsors for helping them make the community event possible.
“They helped them have a fun filled, anxiety free, summer day to remember and smile about,” Mr McGrath said.
The Butts Young Leader Co-Chairperson also thanked Tir Lan staff sponsorship that made their youth training experience in the Don Bosco youth club in Malta possible.
Aiden Quigley, Housing Manager with Tar Isteach Housing, also highlighted the significance of the event: “This BBQ was more than just a social gathering. It was an opportunity for us to engage directly with our tenants, listen to their needs, and strengthen our community ties. We believe that by fostering these connections, we can continue to improve the services we provide and support our tenants in a meaningful way,” he said.
