Crowds turn out for St Patrick's weekend festivities in Kilkenny

Pictured at Kilkenny Castle is the Illinois State University Marching Band bringing their high-energy brass, percussion, and woodwind sounds to St Patrick's Festival Kilkenny.

They were one of five USA Marching Bands performing across the weekend in the Marble City. Locals and visitors have been enjoying four days of nonstop entertainment, family-friendly fun, and a buzzing festival atmosphere, all building up to the spectacular St Patrick's Day Parade today.

Director of Product Development, Fáilte Ireland, Orla Carroll, said: "Fáilte Ireland is pleased to support St. Patrick's Festival Kilkenny again this year, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from all over the world to celebrate our national holiday. Kilkenny's rich heritage, vibrant cultural scene, and outstanding festival programming make it a key destination for visitors seeking an authentic and unforgettable Irish experience.”
