Group A of the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling League really heated up on Sunday evening, as Glenmore built on an impressive display against O'Loughlin Gaels to pick up their first win of the campaign, beating near neighbours Shamrocks Ballyhale in Páirc Na Ratha 2-21 to 2-20.
Early goals for the Shamrocks courtesy of TJ Reid and Eoin Cody spelled danger for the home side early on but the southerners stayed in touch and a late Darragh Hartley point booked the single point win.
