There was also a special guest on the day, former RTE newsreader Eileen Dunne. Eileen has her own special link with Muckalee as her father, RTE presenter and commentator Mick Dunne, visited Muckalee to officially open the then new community hall, many years ago.
The shop and café is located across from the school and is open Wednesday to Friday from 9.30am to 4pm and on Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm. It is totally run by volunteers.
