Muckalee were crowned LGFA All-Ireland junior football champions in December

There was a night of celebration in the Newpark Hotel on Saturday as the All-Ireland winning Muckalee ladies footballers held their dinner dance.

Last December gave local fans one of the greatest days in Kilkenny Gaelic Football history after Muckalee stunned Cromane of Kerry to bring an All-Ireland title back to the county for the first time ever in the code at club level.

Kilkenny camogie star Katie Nolan was the late hero after her stoppage time free sealed a dramatic one point victory.

Nolan scored 10 points in total as she proved a real threat in attack with herself and Kate Purcell excelling against the Kingdom opposition. - READ MORE HERE
