Bidding war for Kilkenny pub sees it sell for well above asking price!

A bidding war saw a Kilkenny pub fetch €110,000 above its guide price at an online auction held earlier today (Thursday).

The Corner House in Bennettsbridge came to market on BidX1 this morning with a guide price of €300,000.

Twenty bids later, the hammer fell and it was sold for €410,000.

The building occupies a corner position in the centre of Bennettsbridge.

Internally, the property comprises a ground floor former public house with separate lounge and function room together with four bedrooms and an attic room overhead.

There is a large patio and beer garden to the rear.

According to the property's description, a seven-day publican's licence was included.
