RIP: 'Veil of sadness' over Kilkenny town after news of sad passing

A veil of sadness descended on the town of Castlecomer and surrounds when the news broke of the death of Terry McCaughey (née Coogan), Clones Road, Monaghan Town and formerly of the Square, Castlecomer.

Terry’s untimely death has once again brought home the brevity of life to us all. Predeceased by her father Tommy, she was laid to rest in St Joseph’s Old Cemetery, Latlurcan following Requiem Mass celebrated in St Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan by Canon Paddy McGinn, Administrator Kilmore & Drumsnatt assisted by Fr Ian Doyle, Associate Priest, Castlecomer.
