This Sunday (October 18) the Ora Quartet will perform at The Parade Tower in Kilkenny at 4pm
A quartet of Ireland's finest string players will perform a programme of music by Haydn, Shostakovich, Schumann & Alex Dowling in the wonderful Parade Tower at Kilkenny Castle on Sunday 18 October at 4pm.
The quartet consists of Siun Milne (violin), Molly O’Shea (violin), Ali Comerford (viola) and Yseult Cooper Stockdale (cello).
The Ora Quartet, made up of some of Ireland’s most sought-after chamber musicians and collaborators, was founded in 2023. The members formed the group after enjoying performing alongside each other for several years with a variety of ensembles, including the Irish Chamber Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, Ficino Ensemble, and Kirkos Ensemble.
The concert is part of the Music in Kilkenny series which strives to bring musical excellence to both the city and county of Kilkenny, featuring both Irish and international musicians.
Their mission is to bring world-class musical performances to the county of Kilkenny from the classical, jazz, traditional and world music genres, providing two seasons of concerts a year.
