Kilkenny Loreto students plant crocuses to raise awareness of polio campaign

Members of the Interact Club at the Loreto Secondary School in Kilkenny planting crocus bulbs to mark Rotary International’s campaign to eradicate polio.

The purple crocus is a symbol of Rotary’s worldwide campaign, with its colour representing the dye used to mark the finger of a child who has been immunised. Rotary clubs help to plant millions of purple crocuses every year to raise awareness of efforts to end polio.
