Kilkenny school crowned as a regional winner at Green-Schools Awards

Castlecomer Community School were announced as a regional winner at the most recent Green-Schools Awards Ceremony, hosted in Hotel Kilkenny.

The school received the award for their work on the Global Citizenship Litter and Waste Theme and as recognition for winning their sixth green flag. 

Their Transition Year-led taskforce have been promoting sustainability, recycling and reducing waste through reusable bottle competition, litter-picking campaigns, fast-fashion actions, junior games and linking with the community.
