Last Friday marked a very special birthday for a Kilkenny City school with past pupils, staff and parents sending their congratulations and best wishes for the future.
On October 4, 1966, Mother of Fair Love opened its doors to the children of Kilkenny.

"Remembering today all our past and present pupils and past and present staff," a school spokesperson commented.
"What a great school loved my time in Happy birthday," one person commented on social media, while another added, "happy birthday, I remember the new school opening."
