A Junk Kouture group, Game Night Glam from Presentation De La Salle College, Bagenalstown has made it to the Regional Final for Junk Kouture.

Out of over 1,200 entries, only 160 groups were selected.
The team is comprised of the model, Anna Minchin, and the designers Audrey Martin and Zoe Clarke. Their design is very intricate and complex design that is made from old and recycled game boards.

The corset has been made from Monopoly money, Scrabble letters and Uno cards, all glued together by hand.
For the trail behind, the underneath of the skirt has been made from a Twister mat layered with cards from various games on top. The hat is designed in such a way that it looks like a pool table which adds to the “Game Night” vibe.

This concept is very unique and individual and one that is a personal favourite and I do believe a personal favourite for many.
The members of the group have shared how the idea came about.

STORY
“The story of this dress began when one of the group members started a Christmas clean out in their homes. As they were going through the board games, they realised how many missing pieces there were,” they said.

“The group was talking about this issue as the games would be thrown because they could not be donated. This issue inspired them to create a Junk Kouture design using the old board games, which inspired the name ‘Game Night Glam’.”
We wish all the of the group members at Presentation De La Salle College the very best of luck in the Regional Final
