There was great excitement in the air last week as Transition Year students from Castlecomer Community School took to the stage for their highly anticipated production of Grease: The Musical.
Running for three consecutive evenings from Wednesday, March 26, to Friday, March 28, the show proved to be a spectacular showcase of talent, dedication, and hard work. Months of rehearsals, which began in September under the expert guidance of music teachers Ms Bourke and Ms Scully, along with the dedicated musical committee, culminated in three vibrant and unforgettable performance at Castlecomer Community Hall.

This year’s production marked a special milestone - 22 years since Grease last graced the stage at CCS. Taking on the iconic roles of Danny and Sandy were Amir Zouaoui and Laura Ryan, both of whom impressed audiences with their energy, chemistry, and commitment to their performances.
From classic bops to dazzling choreography, the production captured the spirit and nostalgia of Grease, bringing the beloved high school romance and friendships to life.
The ensemble cast and the hardworking crew ensured that each night was a success. Audiences were treated to electrifying dance numbers and memorable moments that showcased the immense dedication of the students and staff involved.
