Top local photography talent on display at Transition Year awards

The seventh annual Transition Year Photography Competition awards night, organised by Kilkenny Photographic Society took place on Thursday.

This year’s competition attracted hundreds of photographs from students in the city and county. Entries were judged by Amanda Burke LIPF and Karen O’ Hara AIPF.

First prize of a Canon DSLR Camera went to Loreto student Sarah Kelly.

2nd Prize: David Collison. Coláiste Pobail Osra. Canon Compact Camera.

3rd Prize: Kiri O’Neill. Loreto. €75 Voucher from KPS.

4th Prize: Esther Estheruchi. Duiske College. €30 Voucher + Certificate of Commendation.

5th Prize: Ben O’Keeffe. Scoil Aireagail, Ballyhale. €25 Voucher + Certificate of Commendation.
