Gaelbhratach is an Irish-language flag awarded to schools in Ireland that actively promote the use of the Irish language

A representative from the Gaelbhratach scheme visited Scoil Aireagail this week to present the school with their flag.
The Gaelbhratach is an Irish-language flag awarded to schools in Ireland that actively promote the use of the Irish language (Gaeilge) as a living language in daily school life. It is part of a national initiative aimed at encouraging students and staff to use Irish more frequently, both inside and outside the classroom.
Schools earn the flag by completing specific language-based projects and activities over the course of the school year, fostering a positive attitude toward the language and helping to preserve Ireland’s linguistic heritage.
