Fifth year students at Kilkenny College took part in the 2026 EngFest Engineering Week Quiz at SETU Waterford, competing against 17 teams from five schools.
Kilkenny College delivered an outstanding performance, achieving a clean sweep of the top four places.
The winning team — Harry Clarke, Rebekah Clegg, Caleb McDonagh, and Lily Redmond — took first place, while Cherry Honner, Rachel Honner, Izzy Hughes, and Poppy Walshe finished as runners-up.

The quiz covered topics including maths, science, puzzles, and general knowledge. The questions asked were STEM-related and generally of Junior Cert level with some fun round thrown in.
