‘She would happily play fetch for hours’: Kilkenny dog Zena needs a new home
Can you help this dog find its forever home?
An eight-year-old dog who was surrendered into the care of a Kilkenny animal rescue a few weeks ago is now looking for her forever home.
Zena is described as a clever girl who learns quickly and already knows most commands, while also having great recall.
She is friendly with people and, while she is not overly affectionate, she is described as a constant shadow who will happily stay by your side.
According to her carers, she will carry them around everywhere and would happily play fetch with them for hours.
Despite being eight years old, Zena is not a couch potato and is described as an active lady who would suit someone who works from home and has a large garden, or someone with an active lifestyle who can bring her along on their adventures.
She tolerates other dogs with very little interest in them, provided they do not touch her ball, stone or rock.
For this reason, her carers believe she would be best suited to a home where she is the only dog.
It is not known how Zena is with children and she will chase cats.
She walks well on the lead and is house trained, while a fully enclosed garden will be required for her new home.
Anyone interested in adopting Zena, or looking for more information, is asked to contact the rescue on 059 9726785 or send a message with their details, including a contact number.
