Evergreen were crowned LFA Leinster Junior Cup champions for the very first time, beating New Oak (Carlow) 1-0 in the showpiece final in Bunclody.
In a game which saw both teams have potential game defining chances, it was an early goal from Ethan Phelan in the 12th minute that proved to be enough to get the Kilkenny side over the line on an historic day for the club.

Gary Maher's team did have to weather a New Oak storm in the dying minutes but held on to complete a memorable two weeks for the Kells Road outfit, who also retained the Premier Division for the eighth year in a row.
Team captain, Lee Delaney hailed 'Mr Evergreen' Gary Maher for his contributions to the club over the years.
"We just don't know how he does it? He is Mr Evergreen," Delaney said after the match.
"For the past eight years we've been through it all and I'm just so happy we got over the line today for Gary."
