Duiske Abbey Choir, Graignamanagh, will perform a very special and unique Easter Service on Wednesday, March 27.
The choir will recount the story of Easter through scripture, reflection and song. Adding to this very special occasion will be the launch, by Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, Most Rev Denis Nulty of a new collection of beautiful liturgical music composed by the director of the Abbey Choir, Brenda Foskin with stunning arrangements by the choir accompanist, Edward Holden.
The book of music, entitled 'Easter People' was designed and printed at Digital Outputs Design and Print who are based at Clara in Co Kilkenny. Just one of the attractive features of the book is the lovely, inviting photograph of Duiske Abbey on the front cover. This photograph was captured by local photographer Tom Walsh.
The choir will sing many of the pieces from 'Easter People' on the night. The service will begin at 7pm. An invitation is extended to everyone to come to Graignamanagh on March 27, to the historical setting of Duiske Abbey to experience what promises to be a truly special celebration of Easter.
