The installation of the safety fence in the permanent greenway car park at Ballyverneen, Glenmore, is expected this month along with the completion of the public lighting.

Once both of these work items are completed a road safety audit will be undertaken prior to the full opening of the 39 bay car park.

The programme remains on track for the works contract to be completed by the end of the year, thereafter, this section of greenway will be subject to a safety audit and minor finishing out works.

This will facilitate the opening of same to the public in Q1, 2025.
