Kilkenny County Council have completed development works on a new loop walkway in Kilmacow in recent weeks.
The local authority received funding through the Department of Rural and Community Development under the Outdoor recreation infrastructure scheme to complete the works, with one local resident describing the completed project as 'another very positive development' for the area.

Some additional age friendly/accessible benches will also be installed in the coming weeks.
"While its fully understood by all that footpaths and speed ramps are badly needed on the roads, hopefully this development can help in moving these works to the top of the priority list for Kilkenny County Council," a spokesperson in the Kilmacow Community remarked.
