Transport Infrastructure Ireland have stated that an 'incident' involving a vehicle travelling the wrong way down a motorway in Kilkenny has since been 'cleared'.
The incident occurred on the M9 southbound this morning between Junction 9 (Kilkenny South) and Junction 10 (Knocktopher).

Following that incident, TII have since reported (as of 12.54pm) a vehicle 'on fire' on the M9 in County Kilkenny between Junction 11 (Mullinavat) and Junction 12 (M9/N24/N25).

It is unclear if the incidents are connected.
