The transportation of wind turbine components from Belview Port in County Kilkenny to Farranrory in Tipperary is set to take place on various evenings through to late September or early October.

Each convoy will depart from Belview Port in South Kilkenny at 8pm and will be accompanied by garda escorts, according to an 'exceptional abnormal loads notice' posted by Kilkenny County Council.

The designated route will take the convoys through a number of main and regional roads, including the N29, N25, N9, M9, N10, N76 and R691.

Motorists can expect traffic disruptions along the route, particularly on the Kilkenny Ring Road, Callan Road, Ballymack Cross and Ballyclovan Cross.

Drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the directions of gardaí and traffic marshals where present.
