Marketing Officer:

St. Canice’s Credit Union is a not-for-profit organisation and one of the largest community credit unions in the country. With 70,000 plus members and a diverse product base. St. Canice’s Credit Union is seeking a Marketing Officer
Position Summary:
The Marketing Officer will report to the Head of Marketing & Business Development & will support the Business Development & Marketing Team in the execution of strategic marketing activities. This person will be actively involved in implementing internal & external marketing and communications campaigns for St.Canice’s Credit Union members and staff.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
● Contribute to the delivery of the credit union’s Strategic Marketing Plan.
● Own and Drive the Youth Engagement Strategy and Plan for the credit union.
● Responsibility for maintaining social channels with valuable, relevant, and consistent content using content planner -Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok.
● Plan, coordinate and execute digital marketing campaigns for various CU products.
● Research, blog and create content for website, email campaigns & social media platforms.
● In collaboration with the team; Develop e-newsletters, email campaigns, landing pages for our website.
● Liaise with the Business Development Officers and The Branch Coordinator in communicating marketing updates to front line staff.
● Be part of event planning & attendance at various events to promote the credit union.
● Work closely with 3rd party suppliers as required.
● Must be able to bring fresh ideas to the table & not just follow instructions.
● Must have excellent English & be able to proofread content to ensure accuracy in entirety.
● Data entry and updating Membership details in Scion.
● Demographic data preparation and analysis.
● Organise posters and leaflets for all branches including high street .
● In conjunction with the supervisors, ensure high street is presented well to the public.
● Be out in the public area to promote CU products to members.
● Support at events and sponsored events.
● Data preparation for monthly reporting to the board and business.
● Associated administration activity including invoicing, filing, organisation of merchandise and promotional material, archiving, report formatting.
● Preparing and emailing members for specific journeys eg. loans coming to an end.
● Be able to multi-task, row in at every level from merchandise auditing, tidying the storeroom, data entry to talking on radio.
● Have a clean driver’s license & access to a car to commute to the various credit union branches across the common bond.
● Have experience using design tools such as Canva.
The above list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The role is full-time, permanent based in our High Street, Kilkenny Branch. Hybrid working is possible.
The successful candidates will have:
● A Marketing Qualification
● Be self-driven, focused & able to work on your own initiative.
● Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
● The ability to work as part of a team with good communication and organisational skills
● A willingness to be flexible and take on new tasks and projects,
● Proficient IT and related packages
● Excellent interpersonal skills
● Public speaking and presentation skills
