The Kilkenny minor hurling squad will begin their Leinster championship campaign this Saturday afternoon when they travel to Laois Hire O’Moore Park in Portlaoise to take on Laois in their opening fixture.
The game, a repeat of last year’s Leinster semi-final, will throw-in at 12pm.
It’s the start of a busy round-robin schedule for the young Cats where they will also have home games against Antrim on Saturday, April 1 and Galway on Friday, April 7 (Good Friday) with times to be confirmed.
Niall Bergin is the manager for a second consecutive year. He has named Evan Murphy (Dicksboro) as his captain and Mikey Stynes (Dicksboro) as the vice-captain.
