The prestigious, international womens' cycling tour of Ireland, Rás na mBan, kicked off in Kilkenny City this afternoon.
With teams from Ireland and Europe, the event will take place over the next five days. Kilkenny's own Mia Griffin, from Glenmore, who rides with Israel Premier Tech Roland, is leading Team Ireland this week.
Stage one began in the city and followed a route of more than 70kms to finish in Callan this evening.
