Kilkenny will be a gr-eight host to a field of international cyclists as the Rás na mBan returns to the county.
Ireland’s international stage cycle race, which will be based for an eighth consecutive year in Kilkenny City, will run over five days from September 4 to 8.
With multiple venue meetings and site recces continuing apace race organisers are fine-tuning detail route preparation for the 18th edition of an event which has over the years featured World and Olympic champions.
An international event of heritage and stature, Rás na mBan plays host to national teams, UCI teams and club teams from all over the world, as well as the best of Ireland’s home-grown talent, including Kilkenny’s own Mia Griffin (left) a two-time stage winner at last year’s race.
The race will , with a variety of challenges presented to the riders as they explore Kilkenny and surrounding counties throughout the week.
