Former Shamrocks Ballyhale manager Pat Hoban believes the re-appointment of Henry Shefflin as the club's manager will bring a lot of 'energy' to the team.
Shefflin, who retired from inter-county hurling with ten All-Ireland medals in 2015, managed Galway for three seasons from 2022 to 2024 following stints with the Shamrocks and Thomastown.
It's understood the former Kilkenny senior hurler will be joined by Mark Aylward and Eoin Reid as selectors following the resignation of Jimmy Meagher.
"Henry is going to bring a lot of energy back to the team," Hoban, who guided the Shamrocks and Kilkenny minors to All-Ireland glory told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.
"Henry knows these plays better than anybody," he commented, adding, "Henry will bring huge professionalism, organisation to it and I have no doubt he'll get a response."
