It is not often that an Olympian comes to visit Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium, but this is exactly what happened over the weekend!
Greyhound Racing Ireland and Kilcohan Park Greyhound Stadium proudly celebrated the remarkable achievement of Niall Corcoran on Saturday night, as he was honoured for his recent bronze medal win at the Special Olympics Winter Games.
A member of the well-known Corcoran family from Mooncoin, Niall has long been a familiar face at Kilcohan Park, where he and his family race greyhounds. His dedication and perseverance on the world stage saw him claim a prestigious bronze medal as part of the Irish Floorball Team, a testament to his talent and hard work.
To mark this incredible milestone, a special presentation was made to Niall at Kilcohan Park, presented by Hospitality Manager Niall O'Malley and Darragh Kelly Racing Manager with the wider greyhound racing community in attendance.
The evening certainly had a celebratory atmosphere with friends, family, and fellow racegoers applauding Niall’s outstanding accomplishment.
“Niall’s achievement is truly inspiring,” said Tim Lucey, CEO of Greyhound Racing Ireland. “He has shown immense dedication and resilience, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved success with him and his family.”
Congratulations to Niall Corcoran on his remarkable achievement from all in the greyhound racing industry.
