The question surrounding the outcome of the first round senior hurling league match between Clara and Danesfort could be close to a conclusion.
Clara questioned the score recorded by the referee at the finish, which had Danesfort victors by 1-21 to 2-16.
Clara sent a letter to the County Board seeking clarification of the score. They argued the match official got it wrong and the game ended level.
The ’Board sought clarification on the issue from match referee, Owen Kenny (Tullogher-Rosbercon), who confirmed the score as 1-21 to 2-16.
This was conveyed via a letter to Clara. There has been no official response from the club yet.
