The annual meeting of the ladies club will be held in the Clubhouse, this evening (Wednesday) at 8pm.
CLOSING TIME: The Clubhouse premises will be closed from 6pm on Saturday to facilitate the staff’s Christmas night out.
SPORTS GRANT: Following a submission by the club for financial assistance from the OSCAR Sports Capital Grants, the club have been awarded €42,000.
This sum was approved after the lengthy submission of projects.
To avail of this grant the club must carry out the works outlined in the proposals submitted, and after the submission of three tenders for each project.

VOUCHERS: Christmas gift vouchers may be purchased from Aoife or Sean in the office (056 7765400).

VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are required for World Amateur Team Championships.
The Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies Golfing Union (ILGU) will host the WATC 2018 in late August and early September 2018 in Ireland.
The two events will be staged at Carton House, where players will be tested on the world famous O’Meara and Montgomerie courses during the competition.
The Eisenhower and Espirito Santo together represent an international festival of golf.
In order to deliver these two prestigious events well in 2018, the organisers will require the help and support of volunteers both inside and outside the ropes. Roles will include but are not limited to:
* Meet and greet at Dublin Airport.
* Team registration and information desks at airport, Carton House and Athletes village.
* Media room assistance
* Opening and closing ceremonies.
* Athletes Village liaison.
* Sponsor liaison.
* Information on site at Carton House.
* Assistance with official meetings and receptions.
* Car parking assistance.
All volunteers will receive induction, training sessions and uniforms to fulfill the role.
Friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers are needed.

There was a warm welcome for new member, Henk Van Der Puil.
Meanwhile, it was well done to the three man team of Gerry Leahy, Eddie Geraghty and Roger Ryan.
They almost won without having to use their three man team bonus of four points.
The next competition is on Thursday. Play starts at approximately 10.45am (later than usual due to larger numbers of senior ladies on their Christmas party day).
Check in is from 9.45am. Draw closes at 11.15am.
The Christmas outing and party is scheduled for Thursday week, December 14. Dinner will go ahead even if golf falls victim to adverse weather.
To give the organisers an idea of numbers, members should add their name to the list posted on the senior men’s notice board.
The organisers are trying to put together a post dinner (7 to 9pm) entertainment sing-along, so we are depending on volunteers from the membership.
Those who can sing a song, tell a yarn, play a musical instrument, recite a recitation or whatever have been asked to help. Non society members are welcome.
PRO SHO’P: The Pro Shop is ready for Christmas with clothing and equipment from all of the leading brands in golf.
Gift vouchers are available too.
