Gowran Park are hosting an 18 hole singles competition over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The competition runs from Saturday, August 4 to Monday. It is open to ladies and men.
To celebrate the club's 17th year in business, it has been decided to inviting visitors to play in the competition and enjoy the course for a special entry fee of €17. Timesheets now open. Tel 056 7726699 or online.

Kevin O'Sullivan (20) won the Sean Og O'Sullivan Captain's prize played in trying conditions. Forty-five played in the qualifier. The cut off was nett 79.
After scoring a nett 63 in the qualifier Kevin scored a nett 71 in the decider for a total of 134 over both rounds. Second with 135 was Simon Williams (15). Third was Michael Dempsey (13) 139 and in fourth place was Michael O'Neill (14) on 139.

SENIORS: The weather was hot and the scoring was extra hot. That was the story from the outing last week. Twelve teams enjoying the fun.
With a great run on the ball high scores were expected, and that was what happened. All teams recorded scores above the mid-ninety point mark. The runaway winners had a fantastic 107 points
