Leinster club hurling: Shamrocks heading to Carlow for final

Kilkenny champions, Ballyhale Shamrocks are heading to Carlow for the Leinster club senior hurling final.

The big clash with Ballyboden St Enda’s (Dublin) has been fixed for Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow on Sunday week (2pm).

The Shamrocks beat Naomh Éanna (Wexford) in the semi-final yesterday, while Ballyboden battled through two periods of additional time before seeing off the gritty challenge of Coolderry (Offaly) in their semi-final.

Meanwhile, Nowlan Park will be the venue for the Leinster club intermediate and junior hurling finals involving Kilkenny teams.

Dunnamaggin face No Fianna (Meath) in the junior decider while Kilkenny intermediate champions, Graigue-Ballycallan face Laois senior side, Portlaoise in their final.

Both games will be played on Saturday week. No times available yet.

On Saturday in the AIB Leinster club junior football semi-final in Kennedy Park, New Ross (1.30pm), Walter Walsh will lead Tullogher Rosbercon in their bid to beat Dundalk Young Irelands (Louth). The referee will be David O'Connor (Dublin).
