Loreto advance to All-Ireland Schools Basketball Final

Loreto Kilkenny have qualified for their first ever All-Ireland Under 19 Basketball Schools Final.

The school that is based on the Granges road had victories over Castleisland and Letterkenny on the way to sealing their passage in the decider.

Both games were played on the same day and the Kilkenny school were pushed all the way by Castleisland before easing to a comfortable victory over Letterkenny.

Irish international Lucy Coogan was the star of the show after she scored 64 points in total and it's Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School, Waterford that await in the final.

The two schools already met in the cup and it was the Waterford side that ran out easy winners so Loreto certainly have a big task at hand.
