Busy campaign but Kilkenny Hockey club look forward to ’23 with relish

The ladies section of Kilkenny Hockey club has enjoyed a jam-packed season of hockey to date. With all three Ladies teams competing in the Leinster Hockey League, it has been a hugely successful start to the season as the midway point is fast approaching.

After a rocky start to life in Division One, the Kilkenny Firsts have enjoyed a fantastic run of form in recent games and are unbeaten since October. Gavin Bourke’s squad currently sit in fourth position in the league table and have two games in hand.

Also enjoying a great run of form are the Kilkenny Seconds who proudly finish out the first half of the season as league leaders in Division Eight. Led by coach Paul O’Donnell, Kilkenny have won all seven of their games on the trot and will be hoping to see out the remainder of their fixtures in a similar fashion.

The Kilkenny Thirds have put in many wonderful team performances this season under the guidance of coach Paddy Dalton.

Sitting in fourth spot in the league table, the Cats will be hoping to get themselves into the top two spots in the New Year and earn promotion to Division 10 next season.

The hockey club thanked their sponsors for all of their support this season and wished them, supporters and club members a happy Christmas.
